Modem_run error 240

hi, i´m from chile and i´m trying to install a Speedtouch 330 Adsl USB Modem, i did read lot of how to´s, guides, etc. and at final step before connection i get a modem_run error 240, which can not find the modem firmware. I´m on Red Hat Linux 9.0 and i do have the firmware in the same directory. Somebody knows something about this??...is there another way to do this?
Thanks.

i did follow how to instructions, then ./speedtouchconf.sh y complete the requested fields (user name, pass, etc) and then it tried to connect, says Lights will start flashing for about 20 seconds and 3 seconds later, modem_run error 240 unable to find firmware. The firmware was in the same directory.

Try different firmware. The mgmt.o file in this tarball works great for me with a purple speedtouch 330 http://download.ethomson.com/download/speedmgmt.tar.gz

hi there, it didn`t work, i'm now trying to connect throught a DHCP proxy server,. The best move i did, was trying the ZZZ_***.012 firmware, but i get a 253 error instead 240 error, which is better than nothing. I`ve read lots of FAQ`s and Howtos but i didn`t work. So, i`ll try the connection throught a DHCP server.

Doesn't the silver, revision 4 modem need two pieces of firmware? I don't have a silver modem so I don't know what I'm talking about but I'm sure I've read stuff about them here http://www.mail-archive.com/speedtouch@ml.free.fr/

I've the same modem... silver one, and the error 240. I've tried mgmt.o and ZZZLP1.001 and ZZZLP1.002 (something like that). The problem is that I don't know how to use that ZZZLP1.001 and 002 files. I've copied them to the folder in which I've the speedtouchconf.sh but when I run speedtouchconf.sh, the eror is 240 (can't load microcode)
This is the reuslt of /var/log/messages:

May 9 17:18:14 localhost modem_run[12037]: modem_run version 1.2 started by root uid 0
May 9 17:18:14 localhost modem_run[12037]: Unable to locate firmware in /etc/ppp/mgmt.o

Of course, this last route isn't correct. Anyone knows what file must I cahnge?
I've tried changing speedtouch.conf and resolv.conf
