modem help


I am trying to by a hardware modem for my toshiba laptop 3005-S304, and the operating system is mandrake 8.1
please tell me any hardware modem that will be compatable and may be least expensive.

or if your can tell me how to setup an AMR software modem, it will be a plus for me.

I have a Viking 56 k pccard modem

It works good, most of the pccard modems will work.


You might want to avoid the modem / nic combo cards unless you know for sure that one will work.
