MLDonkey

I am trying to set up MLDonkey to work as a daemon that will connect me to the DC network. I am behind a router, but I have set all the correct ports to forward to the machine runnning mlnet, which is my box. There are roughly eight other boxes connected to the router. When I open the gui, it starts to connect to hubs of its own will and I just watch as the number of servers I connect to stays at .... "0". It sometimes connects to some servers for a secon and I get a 1 or maybe a 2 servers out of 70003 servers.

I cannot see what is wrong with my setup. I am sharing approximatley 24 gigs of stuff so it cannot be that hubs kick me for not having enough to share. Maybe it is because I do not have enough open slots? How do I set open slots in mldonkey?
