Question Mapping drive from Windows to Linux

I am a newbie to linux/redhat and have thus far been self-taught. With the exception of the Linux Bible, I have no other help to get past my issue:

My Linux box is my server #2, which is currently being used as an internet server. I want it to also be used as a file server to store my Request for Quotes and other business-related forms (in Excel). My problem is that when I try to map the drive, everything goes well until I try to create a new folder or save a file to the "Z: Shared on Redhat" drive (that I mapped)

Why will it NOT let me save anything to it?

Just tell me what information you need.

(Remember, I am very ignorant to Linux)

Thank you in advance!

Randy

Check your local file permissions. Also check out this, http://www.valkyrie.net/~tangle/comp...s/smb_conf.htm .
