Map network drives
 
Can i map network drives in linux???
in order to read and write files

if you are speaking about windows shares, use smbmount for it.

You can use NFS or Samba to mount remote filesystems ("mapping a network drive" is a Windows term). If both the server and client are Unix based OSes, I'd suggest using NFS, since IMO it's a bit easier to get going. You can google for "NFS tutorial" or something similar to get started.
