Mandrake 9.2 Samba and Windows 2003 Server

I'm rather new to the linux world and have some knowledge in linux, however I cannot seem to figure out this problem and was wondering if someone here might be able to help me out with this problem.

I'm running Mandrake 9.2 with KDE 3, and have a server running Windows 2003 Server. I'm trying to get the linux machine to talk with the Windows 2003 server machine, however nothing appears to be working.

When I do this, mount -t smbfs //advanced/data /mnt/share and enter the username and password it then prompts me with this message:

3440: tree connect failed: ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access denied.)
SMB connection failed

or other times it might give me a message saying that there is no share called /data on the server //advanced when I know for a fact that there is.

Any suggestions as to what I might be able to do?

Also on a side note, when I access the K menu, go to Configuration -> Networking -> Samba Configuration it then displays a web page saying unable to connect to http:/localhost:9001 any thoughts about this as well?

Please feel free to ask me any questions that you have in order to help me with my problem,

Side note
Also on a side note, when I run LinNeighborhood it shows two networks:

Advanced -- with myself underneath it

it also shows

Advancedt (which is the Windows 2003 server domain)
which shows myself, and the other users. I can see the other users shares, but under the Advanced (the //advanced server mentioned in my first post) it doesn't show anything.
