Mandrake 9.1 vs Gateway
Hi there,

I have installed Madrake 9.1.
I am having a WIFI internet connection
but well I can't internet.

First I thought that de DHCP-server did not
gave me the DNS-servers. But that is not the case
because I can ping to my DNS server.

The only ipnumber I can't ping is the Gateway server.

So at the moment I can only connect on the local network
but not outsite of the Local Netwerk

Who knows what to do???

What can you ping then? internally? on the internet?

MainMan_NL 12-05-2003 01:26 PM

Only Internally.

Ok, I guess the IP of your mandrake box is right?

when you're on the mandrake box, you can ping something on the internet?

Please give details on your wi-fi connection.

Also, if you use a wired connection, does it work?

MainMan_NL 12-05-2003 01:56 PM

no my own IP number is is the Gateway

I have a wired connection and it is WORKING under XP

Fysiek adres: 00-02-44-54-55-92

I am totally confused here... how can you have a gateway in 192. if your IP is in the 10.x.x.x

MainMan_NL 12-05-2003 02:07 PM

Ask my privider :) haha I do not know either

ugob 12-05-2003 02:11 PM

Oh, I see, the 10.x.x.x is given by your isp right?

Sorry, I though you had a wireless network at home...

so what is your setup? WIFI -> mandrake -> hub -> windows?
