Mandrake 10 as guest via vmware5 on xp has net access problem
Hello, I started learning me linux in a month with installing linux mandrake 10 as guest via VMware 5 on my xp+sp2 as host.
Linux has problem to get an IP address. Would you please take a look at the settings in my VMware and tell me if I should change something to get internet access on my Linux:
In WMware Program- Edit- Virtual Network Settings:
Summary:
VMnet0 – Bridged to an automatically chosen adapter
VMnet1 (Host-Only)- A private network shared with the host 192.168.126.0 (DHCP Enable)
Host Virtual Network Mapping:
VMnet0: Bridged to an automatically chosen adapter
VMnet1: VMware Network Adapter VMnet1
VMnet2-7 and 9 are Not bridged
Host Virtual Adapters:
VMware Network Adapter VMnet 1 (Vitual Network VMnet1 has status Enable).
DHCP:
VMnet1 192.168.126.0 – 255.255.255.0 – vmnet1
has DHCP Service status Started.
Please tell me if you need more information to solve this problem.
Thanks.
