Hi

i hava apache, php and mysql all running and set up. When i tried to install mambo, it tells me that all dependencies are OK (all text is green). When i do the inital setup, mambo won't connect to mysql. It tells me the password and / or username are wrong, even though i am logging on to mysql as root (i know -- i shouldn't...) I have checked the username & pw by logging on to the management console of SQL. I had full success (this, too, i did as root). With these same credentials, mambo gives me the error.

- How can i coax mambo to connect to mysql on localhost? Could there be something wrong with the out-of-the-tarball mysql? Are there any specific setting i should take a look at?
