I installed Redhat 7.0 on my system about 12 times now, and everytime. I keep getting a hangup on my internet connection. When I make any attempt to use Netscape on the system, the websites only download partway and stall.
When I do the whole,
echo 1 > proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
ipchains -M forward -s 192.168.0.0/24 -j MASQ
ipchains -s -blah blah blah blah blah ..
and got the internet working on my windows boxs; the net works fine, but into 15 to 20 minutes of my login session, the net connection dies. I go back to the linux box and can see the IP address is coming in from my ISP.. But there's no other information being downloaded. At that point I would need to reboot the system, and mess with the settings all over again before the net works.. I called my ISP and they see no problems with my connection. So, is there some sort of memory settings or bios configurations I need to make. Me brains are racked.
