Question Mail logs

Hello,

I've set up and ftp-server at home and I was wondering how I could mail the log-file to my mailaccount on my other computer.

I've noticed that I only see who has logged on to the ftp-server, but I need to know what they downloaded/uploaded.

Can anyone help me with these questions?

Thx,

Wouter

Thats a configuration isssue with whatever ftp server software you are running. Read the documentation for it.

Presumable you want this to happen automatically eg once a day?

I suggest a small script that uses sendmail to email the file.

You can set the script to run as a cron job or make an at script that reschedules itself eg

at -f now + 1 day ./script-to-email-log-file

and also have that line at the end of the script.
