Mageia 5 - Cant see other computers on the LAN

Hello

I have a computer running Mageia 5, everything seems to work just fine. I can access the internet, but i cant get a connection to other computers on my LAN with RealVNC, it seems a little strange, beacuse im able to access the webinterface on my router, the computers i cant access and the router are alle in the same network, 192.168.0.1

The computer running mageia has IP 192.168.0.222, i can verify this using ifconfig and the router webinterface.

I have tried opening port 5800 and 5900 with this command:

Code:
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 5800 -j ACCEPT
iptables -A INPUT -p tcp -m tcp --dport 5900 -j ACCEPT
That dident help, i have also tried disabling iptables, but that makes no difference either. When trying to connect from Windows using the RealVNC viewer i get: "Timed out waiting for a response from the host computer" Any help is greately appriciated.

Update:

I have set up a webserver on a computer on the LAN, i can access this machine using Firefox, so it looks like the problem is with RealVNC or something blocking all other ports except port 80.

Hi!

In order to access a machine using VNC, you don't just need to open a port, you need a VNC server on the machine you want to connect to. Which one are you using?

Best regards,
HMW

Ok. I have never used RealVNC, so I cannot help out there I'm afraid.

Best regards,
HMW
