Post Macaddress connection (Identify and lock)


I have several dump terminals (sun workstations).The idea is that every users login from only one pc(macaddress ) and to grant internet access for that pc only.

what exactly is your question?? you want iptables rules??

Yes that the idea. But, Is there any visual tool to do it?. We have officce boys dont know linux, so we need an easy admin tool.

the iptables rule(s) would look like:

iptables -A INPUT -i $LAN_IFACE -m mac \
--mac-source xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx -j ACCEPT
where $LAN_IFACE would be your LAN interface and xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx would be the mac address of the client you wish to allow...
