lucid lynx samba

Hi as samba has died, yet again, on here, I have decided defeat is in order.

I now have a question. Move the printer on to a win xp box, now what do I need on lucid, to be able to print to it?

If its the whole samba thing forget it, it plain and simple don't work on lucid. well when does it's not for long.

Works just fine after I followed the information on this link.

http://reformedmusings.wordpress.com...cid-10-04-lts/

The problem I had was I could not log in with a valid user and password. This tutorial fixes this problem.

Yeah I agree, I followed that tut, as well was working fine for me too.

well it works now, if login into a samba share, not from network

now how to fix it ....

After a bit more fighting, I can login using connect to network, so it seems to be a Nautils issue, on the linux boxes.

It was working fine yesterday.

What is the issue with Nautilus. Oops, didn't see the thumb nails.

I get the same message. I don't have entries in fstab. I would guess that would solve the error message.

Right making progress:

johnh@tux:~$ smbclient -L 10.0.0.3
Enter johnh's password:
Domain=[WORKGROUP] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.4.7]
Server requested LANMAN password (share-level security) but 'client lanman auth' is disabled
tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
