What make/model computer and what wireless chipset?
This post is primarily about Broadcom, but it will give you the tools you need for diagnosing the wireless chipset. Also, the section on Ubuntu may give you some useful hints: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...ux-4175434970/

I installed it on Dell Latitude 120L. It has Broadcom chipset. I have already tried this: "sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer" but then I get that error "dpkg was interrupted you must manually run". So now after I run that command laptop just freezes after some time on black screen with some commands.
And now after some time I got message where it says: "DKMS: install completed. Segmentation fault"
So, now when I try again with "sudo apt-...." I get message that resource is temporarly unavailable

Have you looked in the Control Center for something called "Proprietary Hardware" or "Additional Hardware" (I forget the exact terminology.) When I was running Ubuntu, I could click on that and Ubuntu would go out and find what it needed for Broadcom (I have two Dells with Broadcom).

Okey, finally have some time to do this. Here is the info you asked.
Code:
$ apt-cache policy dkms
dkms:
Installed: 2.2.0.3-1.1ubuntu2
Candidate: 2.2.0.3-1.1ubuntu2
Version table:
*** 2.2.0.3-1.1ubuntu2 0
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
And that second command really necessary? Because I'm having troubles copying from Xterm so it's kinda hard to write that
