Lost internet connection
I have lost my high speed (DSL) connection to internet. I am using Fedora Core 3 on a dual boot system. I am able to connect when in Windows XP or when I boot up with a live Ubuntu CD so it appears to be a Fedora problem. I have tried it re-install my connection using the internet configuration wizard but it will not activate. My pap-secrets file seems to be OK and eth0 is up.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks |
Search for adsl_setup
I think it is in /SBIN There are several scripts that start with adsl* and I wish I was doing that instead of dial-up tonight. Can't check myself right now... When in doubt find... as root cd / find . -name adsl* -print Bonne chance, alar |
Merci Alar. I went through the adsl-setup process and it established a ppp interface that would not activate so still no connection

After trying many other things, I edited my eth0 interface by checking the box
'Automatically obtain DNS information from provider' and lo and behold my internet connection was re-established.. :) |

You and me both. I have Linux dial-up again! :) ... and no. It wasn't with a wizard! <go figure> |
