Logging in from two different machines using GNOME

Hi - I've NFS mounted the /home directory and I'm trying to log in from two different machines. However, when I log into the GNOME desktop, it get's corrupted or I keep on getting a bunch of error messages. I've gone to the "gnome.org" site and they stated that I should add the following line to the "/etc/orbitrc" file on each node to enable CORBA: ORBIIOPIPv4=1. I did this and then rebooted both computers as the instructions stated. I'm still having the same problem in that both gconfd-2 daemons keep dying.

Does anybody have experience in dealing with this problem?

Thanks
Vin

You might want to have separate root home directories for each distribution, with both linked to a common data subdirectory.

Thanks for taking the time to post a reply. I finally figured out what the problem was. Some of the user's home directory had the wrong user permissions. Once I cleaned those up, things started to work pretty well.
