Log into netwrok @ work with live CD?


Is it possible to do this with my user name and password? Our network server is running server 2003. We are using "client for microsoft networks" to log in. I would like to be able to surf the web....etc

If you have gnome as your graphic interface you can use
gnome-network-preferences
to set up a proxy connector
That program can be found under preferences os you can start it in a terminal session.

Choose the manual setting
fill in the ip adres of you firewall in your network, the port number is most of the time 8080 (ask you network engineer, or check in MS windows explorer the settings.
Open details
set Use verification
at user name fill in Domain_name\User_name
and password
