When booting I get this message in the "message" log. I am also unable to connect to local host i.e. http://localhost:901 or just http://localhost

Jan 16 04:49:10 mind smbd[7174]: Unable to connect to CUPS server localhost - Connection refused

port 901 is used for swat. you need to actually install swat to use it ;-)

as for the error... are you running cups?

Thanks for the response. Of course. I have used it in the past for configuring. Not so concerned about the cups error. Really trying to get localhost to connect. Just tried again and it seems to work with http://localhost; goes to the homepage of the apache server.

Is there a port I need to open? Not sure why localhost:901 would just stop working. Although muking in dns, postfix, cyrus, etc... probably had an impact.

Also not able to connect to localhost:10000 which is webmin...

hmmmmmmmm

swat and webmin might be configured to run via xinted. S make sure xinted is running. Check via ps or top.

Does not appear that any services are configured to run.
Check the /etc/xinetd.d/swat configuration file to verify is is enabled.
Change the line
from
disable = yes
to
disable = no

and then restart xinetd

I do not see webmin listed in the log files so I assume that it isn't started from xinetd. So try starting it and see what happens. The same goes for cups.

Thanks again Michaelk,
Made the changes and it worked. Able to access SWAT. I was able to also access webmin with some configuration changes.

Thanks!
