Local or Network Printer
 

Ive got a printer that is hooked to the parallel port on a mdk9.1 box through a data switch the data switch is also connected to a router with a printer port (parallel) this is so I can use my win boxes to print. I have an other mdk9.1 that prints through the 1st linux box, I want to print via the router like my win boxes do. I've tried several time to make this happen, but the printer is not found when i do a scan. Is there a way to do this? the options I see that may work are network or local. My win boxes use a local connection as described by D-Link, but I've yet to find anything about this with linux. Any Ideas?:D
