local access of NFS export

I am using RH8.0 with amd automounting. I have it configured to export the /export directory by NFS.

Problem.

I can access the directory by /net/computer1/export/...... from other machines and want to access the directory locally by the same path. I get permission denied only when accessing from computer1 to computer1.

/etc/exports
/export (rw,no_root_squash)

This works for other RH8.0 machines but not this one. I can't tell the difference between them.

Any clues?

Thanks

Found it

The alias for computer1 did not include "computer1". It had localhost, localhost.localdomain, and computer1.localdomain.
