loading my atheros on startup

I'm currently trying out Zenwalk and I've got my wireless working, but now i'm trying to get my NIC to load on startup. I edited my /etc/modules.conf with the line
alias ath0 ath_pci
when i startup it looks like my card is active, but i have to run the wpa_supplicant command again for it to connect to my router.
Bottom line, I'm trying to configure by boot so the wpa_supplican and ath_pci modules are loaded automatically. Thanks

A quick & dirty suggestion for this may be to write a simple script with the commands you normally type to run wpa_supplicant.

Put this script in the directory with all your other startup scripts & make it executable.

I don't know about Zenwalk, but I normally put any bespoke scripts in /etc/init.d & then make a symlink to it in /etc/rc2.d

Make sure you put a number (S99start_wpa for example) at the front so you know that your script runs at the time you want.

Probably not the best way to do it, but it's one way.

Hope this helps.
