LISa in RH 9?

I am sorry to probably have repeated the same story over again, but i have tried to seach the forums for an answer, but, everything either is too vague, or doesn't apply to me, so i am hoping that somone will read this call for help, and solve my problem, or better yet, point me in the right direction so i can solve it myself.

Currently i am running RH 9 on a P4 box and trying to connect it to an iBook. So far, i have edited the smb.conf file and have successfully mapped a share to my iBook from my Linux box. I also have copied over the really cool KDE backgrounds to check for network reliability. To complete this task, i need to do two things, (1) set up a share to my Linux box from my iBook (the exact opposite of what i have done so far) and (2) try to share the internet through my iBook to my Linux box.
As i said, i have edited the smb.conf file to my situation, however, in Konqueror, i have tried to browse the LAN, and i get an error saying:
"Could not start process Unable to create io-slave:
klauncher said: Error loading 'kio_lan'."
I thought that this might have something to do with the fact that i do not have LISa running correctly. I have started LISa using the Konsole, and thought i had correctly created a config file for it which is as follows:
PingAddresses = 192.169.0.2/255.255.255.0
PingNames =
AllowedAddresses = 192.169.0.0/255.255.255.0
BroadcastNetwork = 192.169.0.0/255.255.255.0
SearchUsingNmblookup = 1
FirstWait = 70
SecondWait = -1
UpdatePeriod = 60
DeliverUnnamedHosts = 0
MaxPingsAtOnce = 256
I have placed this file on my root desktop and have tried to link this file to LISa by using the command:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/lisa --config=/root/desktop/lisa1.conf
Is there any error or misjudgement on my part on where to place this or how to enter this (i went off of the KDE website on how to create a config file and how to link it to LISa)?
I know that in Mandrake 9.1, there was an actual LISa setup program under the network browsing in the control center. I no longer have these tabs in RH9. Did i leave out the installation of a package, and if so, where can i find this package?
Or am i just going about this the hard way, and is there an easier way?

Second, i am not quite sure on how to go about setting up the internet to connect through the network. I have set up my network card to look to my iBook as the gateway, and set a static route to its IP address. I have enabled ICS through OS X under sharing (I am running Jaguar BTW). Is there anything that i am missing?

If anyone knows the answers to my plethora of questions, even a partial, it would be greatly appreciated (all of this that has been done so far was a shot in the dark).

Thanks in advance,
Quinn Snyder

this is starting to sound like a blog...anywayZ
i have RH 9 VMed on my iBook...and for giggles i booted it up and sure enough...the graphical LISa daemon config was in the control center in Local Lan Browsing under Network and Internet. So...my question to all of the people in the know is...what packages do i need to get the graphical daemon config installed. I used the the normal RH 9 distro for both computers, i just had to cut back on my PC because of a smaller HDD...but a bigger one is on the way...
so...if anyone knows what RPMs i need...just holler

thanks
