Linux Ubuntu/ Mint is not working with my Ethernet. (Powerline Adapter)

Hello, i'm kind of a noob in Ubuntu/ Linux as I have just installed it from windows two days ago. Anyway, I bought these powerline adapters to plug into my machine for the internet, but the wired connection thing says that it is still unconnected. When i go into the network connections window, it says "Auto Eth0". From what I understand, that means that it is recognizing my onboard but still wont connect. The weird thing is, i got it working the first time I plugged it in, then I installed mint and it didn't work. So I installed Ubuntu again to see the same problem. Here is my motherboard:

GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3 AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard
