linux to windows remote commands

is there a way to remotely start services or programs on a windows machine from a linux box?

i would like to start a process on my windows xp pro box from my fedora core 3 system.

i can start/stop services/programs from one xp box to another using taskkill or pstools

i was wondering if there was an equivilant cross-platform program

If I were you, I'd look at `remote assistance' or w/e it's called; it's under control panel -> system, something about `invitations'.

I haven't used it myself, but it sounds like it works sorta' like X forwarding.

Anyways, look into it.
