Unhappy Linux to Win2k Pro using RedHat8

I am trying to setup Red Hat ver.8 to act as a firewall for my home network. I am running into a routing issue. I can get to the Internet from the Linux PC but not the client. I have 2 nics in the linux pc...1 for the cable modem and 1 for the Win2k pro pc. I have the default gateway on my 2k pro pc set to the Linux pc but no internet access.

Please forgive me but i am quite new to the linux thing. I think i will like it though.

thanks in advance

Talking results

The result was "Enabled Via MIDI". Is that a good sign. It sounds good but like I said I am very new to this world.

thanks

ooops!!

I am afraid i did. I went back and corrected. From the Linux side I can ping out to the Internet and my 2k Pro PC. From the 2k Pro side I can ping the Linux PC but I do not appear to be getting out to the Internet. I do know that I am not getting any Name Resolution on the 2k side and I cannot ping an IP address that I know i can ping. Is it possible that the Linux PC isn't forwarding my requests to the Internet?

thanks again
