Linux to Linux

Edubuntu:
We have several computers that are running from a linux server. My goal is to have a persistent mount point per user credentials. When the user logs in, they are automatically set to a predetermined directory. How would I go about getting this done? Isn't this an FSTAB op? These settings should apply to all non-admin computers on the LAN.

Thanks Bijo, I will give this a shot. It might be noted that none of the clients will actually have a hard drive installed. They will be using an Active Directory. We currently use Putty for many networking ops.
