According to my under standing to linux terminal server (LTS) is that you get a few computers (w/ 10/100 LAN ports) and hook those up to a switch and then another wire hooks up the switch to the server. Then you turn on the server (with linux os) and then turn on the workstations, login, and done.
Thats what I know, but what I wan't to know is what are all the steps before you turn on the workstations (terminals). What things do you have to right? scripts.
What I am going to use this for is internet browsing, email, printing stuff, writing doucuments, drawing and viewing pictures, and other office stuff, and probably a little video and music too. I'm not going to need programming stuff or hacking are any stuff that envolves a lot of filesystem. I don't need Apache or squid.
I also have a question what is ~./filename ?
Where would the router go? Where does the scanner and printer connect to? What ports on the switch's and router's does all this coonect to?
