Linux Slackware 9.1 / Squid Question?

Hi guys,

I am using Slackware 9.1 and the latest update of Squid cache. Everything is working fine, and when i download files it works fast and well. My only problem is with browsing. Sometimes it's fast sometimes it's slow and when i say slow it's hell slow. I don't know why, the whole thing is installed on a dual processor server with 1Gb RAM and Barracuda HDDs.

Can anyone help?
