Linux Router - Wireless Access Point?

Hi,

I've built a firewall/router using an old PC with two NICs and debian.

The scheme is

WAN
|
ISP Modem with NAT
10.1.1.1/24 Gateway
|
Debian eth0 10.1.1.100
Debian eth1 10.1.2.1
|
LAN clients 10.1.2.x/24

It's all working OK.

I'd like to replace eth1 with a Wireless card and configure it as a Wireless Access Point.

Can this be done?

I'd like to hear from someone who has experience of this.

Thank you

BWestOz

Yes, it can be done. More configuration, such as DHCP, Wifi setting and security.

Yes it can be done.... and what you'll need to make that happen is 'hostapd'.
