Linux router - How can i monitor traffic

Ive set up my linux box as an internet router, samba server and webserver. I was wondering if anyone new how i can log who on my internal net work access the internet, how much they download and how much they upload.

I tried using iptraf and although i can monitor how much data is transfered between my linux box and the individual machines, but it cant seem to distinguish between traffic thats then fowared onto the internet and stuff transfered to the samba server

does anybody know a way round this

Cheers

I downloaded ipac 1.10 so i could use ipacsum but it says that im missing the firewall module in the kernel and that i should recompile the kernel. Is there any way of adding in this module without recompiling the kernel.

Cheers
