Linux Router - 3 private networks

Hi, I am trying to learn a little about networking and Linux. What I was wondering is, is it possible to setup a Linux router, with 1 network card, then have that connected to a switch, that would route traffic for 3 different network (192.168.1, 192.168.2, & 192.168.3)?

Or do I need to have 3 separate network cards in the Linux box?

If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated :) Thanks.

You should use vlan tagging if you only have one card, this does require a suitably capable switch. People may suggest that you can use dumb aliased interfaces as opposed to vlans but you said you want to learn, and doing things badly against any standard is not a way to learn.
