Linux OSPF ISIS RIP edge router
I am looking for a Linux system to use as a edge router for a Cisco CCNP study lab. Having to build static routes for every sub netted lab scenario is getting old very quickly. Looking on google I found the list below, but I am trying to narrow my selection down.
Mikrotik RouterOS "has nice hardware platform, but cost $45.00"
BSD Router Project sponsored by "Orange Business Services"
Bifrost Network Project
Halon Security " Juniper-style CLI configuration, web interface"
Vyatta

Wouldn't it be more helpful if it ran Cisco NX-OS or Cisco IOS?

My lab setup is running cisco IOS two 2960, two 2811, and 1841. My current edge router is clearos with minicom, some iptables hacks, and static service routes for subnets. Looking to get dynamic routing on the inside interfaces. I can post a network topology if it will help.

Quagga is the standard linux routing deamon. Run it on any hardware/distro you like, doesn't do ISIS but is fine for OSPF BGP etc. Cisco-like config and you can write scripts to generate your routing tables. I recently used it to pump 512K routes into a BGP edge router.
