Welcome to LQ.

What does your routing table look like?:
route -n

What is the address of the gateway on your network?

You will need to add a default route like:
route add 0.0.0.0 gw 65.173.168.1

Sorry - I should have noticed - your netmask does keep your IP address in the same reange as your gateway - perhaps your IP address or netmask is wrong.
