Linux Networking

I'm running Mandrake Linux 7.0... because It's all I could find and the price was right. I have it set up on a machine with latest version of MySql, and have most/all of the services available. All is working well.

I desire to disable the Internet services for several hours each day.
This machine is a private machine with DSL Internet connection behind
a cable modem.

Internet -> CableModem -> LinuxBox1 -> LAB_1/24PC's

v
LinuxBox2 -> LAB_2/12PC's

I am interested in stopping Internet connection to the individual
computer labs for several specific hours each day.

I am looking at crontab for setting up a disableing script, but I am
not too sure what to disable. Maybe a service, maybe just an interface?

... but then later I will need the selected item re-enabled.

Can anyone assist with an idea or two?

THanks!

If it's a standalone machine, probably the easiest way is:

Shutdown eth0:

ifconfig eth0 down

Then later start it back up:

ifconfig eth0 up
