Linux I/O error - resulting from Samba mount?
Hello,
I have a few folders in the /home mount that I use to mount shares on other machines (both Win2K and Linux). I also have some Perl scripts that back up parts of my primary server to these other boxes.
I would use a folder called "/home/architect/archive" to mount a Linux Samba share, copy some files to it, and then unmount it. Apparently an error happened somewhere along the way, and now I'm getting some very strange behavior. If I go into the /home/architect path and do an ls -la, it shows the folder as being empty. If I back out to rmdir it, it says it's not empty. If I go back in and rm *, it goes the following output:
rm: cannot remove `archive': Input/output error
I created a second folder recently in /home/architect called backup and the same problem appears to be happening with that folder as well.
Anyone ever seen this happen? Anyone have any ideas?
