Linux how to setup a class B network

Hi,

I work for an organization on which is growing up with pcs, I set up a linux but with a class c net (192.168.1.0/24) and dhcp for 250 clients, so my question is, how to change from class c to class b since now the org have now 300 pcs that need to be connected eachother with printers and everything.

need some help.

Do you mean to 172.16.0.0/12? Not quite sure how that helps you. Why not simply use 192.168.1. and 192.168.2. and set up a suitable gateway/router?

It's a bad idea to put more than 200 hosts in a single IP subnet; the broadcast traffic can get a bit intense. As previous poster suggested, two or more subnets with a router (ideally a layer 3 switch) between them is a much better solution.
