Linux friendly ISP in london


Hello, Im linux fan and i live in london.
At the moment I have AOL and I just cannot run it on my Ubuntu Hoary.I got 2 questions:

1.Is there any oportunity to make AOL Broadband with cable modem working without pengaol.
2. And idf there is no way to make it working cna you give examples for linux friendly ISPs in london.

I don't use AOL so can't answer your first question. But as for your second, I think any ISP will be good for Linux if they provide you with a (wireless) router or cable modem, since your PC then connects to them by LAN. Linux problems usually occur because of the lack of non-Windows drivers for USB modems. I use Telewest broadband at uni and we have a cable modem connected to a switch. It all works fine - SuSE connects by DCHP without me doing anything.
