linux dialin server without modem ??

dear mates

is it possible to configure the dialin server for remote user
to connect my server by dialing his modem over phone

at present i am having 64 Kbps dsl line in my server. most of the documents says that we need to have dialup setup

my guess would be no... dsl and dialin are two different animals... dsl is packet switched (and most importantly digital) and therefore 'always on' whereas pots (analog phone lines) is 'circuit switched' although you could try using an analog modem over the voice channel of your dsl line :) and see what happens
