LINUX client MSDFS refferral

Hi All,
I'm new to the LINUX world. My office needs to set up a network which has a mix of LINUX, WINDOWS and MAC's. I have configured a SAMBA server(LINUX).
I can the get a Windows client to access soft links on the server . These links are files which lie on another server and work on MSDFS principle.
But the PROBLEM is, I cannot get a LINUX client to access these links and go to a secondary server where the files are actually stored.

So how can I make a linux client get a refferal to a seconary server.

Will be more than glad to recieve help.
Thanks
jitin
