Linux cisco vpn works everywhere except from my intranet
hello all
I need some pointers as I cannot imagine where to look for the solution of my problem.
following is a description of my settings.
I work from a linux laptop using gentoo 2005.0 I call it LL(it has also a MSwindows partition that I never use) . I have another laoptop with only MS windows, I call it LW. I use it for testing.
I work from 3 different locations.
Company A called CA
company B called CB
home called H (intranet with a NAT server gentoo 2005.0)
From all 3 location I need to access CA and CB using CiscoVPN client
on LL I can access CA and CB from CA and CB, but if I do it from H I get disconnected after 2 minutes
from LW I can access CA and CB from CA and CB and H without timout problem.
where my real problem is, is that from LL, if I boot the MS windows OS, I have no problem from H.
so to resume, my home network works to connect to CA and CB if I use windows on LL. but not if I use linux. but LL works with Linux from the 2 other location.
so far I have conclude that it cannot be the NAT rules otherwise the windows would not be able do do it, but it cannot be the laptop otherwise I would not be able to connect with it from some other site.
it seems that it is only when I use Linux server with Linux client that I have the problem
where should I start looking for problem ?
thx for some light
