Linux as various servers for win and !netware!

I'm doing an informal survey on Linux in a heterogeneous network. I know so far that linux can function as a file/print/mail/fax server for win/netware/mac/unix/linux.

But what about the other servers?

I know linux can serve as a DHCP server for Win clients and somehow as a DNS server for them. But what about the other OS's I mentioned above. I googled some for Netware but not much showed up.

Any pointer/help would be most appreciated.

Hmmm... that's a broad question..

The servers you mention are Industry standard servers, which means any type of client can connect if it uses Industry standard protocols to connect..
There would be only a few specific servers not available on Linux, eg M$ SQL, etc which have many alternatives in Linux..

I suggest looking at a standard distribution's website and following the links there..
eg SuSE 9.0 Webserver, Red Hat Enterprise Server et al
