linux as a gateway using Squid

Hello everyone at LQ. I am new to Linux and look forward to being a part of this great group! My first question of many is that I would like to use my RH9 box as a proxy server for my home network which now consists of two WINXP boxes. RH9 comes with Squid if I am not mistaken. Can anyone lend any helpful comments b4 I get started. Both nics are set up to use DHCP(Charter uses dynamic IP addresses). Any feed back would b very helpful. TKS

Welcome to LQ.

The squid docs are fairly good. From what you are saying you probably want a transparent proxy so you don't need to change the clients.
