Linux and Windows DNS

Hello!

I have 2 linux boxes on my home network. I am running a win2k3 DNS server and I can't figure out how to make my linux boxes update the dns server. Does any one have any ideas?

I am not that familiar with DNS but can I just add a cname?
Does linux support dns update?

I am a running:

Mandrake 9_1 and RH9
Soon to be running Fedora 1

It is my understanding that Windows DNS will only accept dynamic updates from Windows machines.

Why do you need to have dynamic updates?
