Linux and pci card problems Linksys WMP11 and Belkin F5D7001 not working

Well I have finally got my wireless network to work on my computer and on my laptop. My wife's computer is another story. I have OpenSUSE 10.2 and Edubuntu installed on the computer. I have tried a Belkin F5D7001 PCI card, which was on there, and nothing.

I recently got a Linksys WMP11 card (no version info on the box so I assume it is the first version). I removed the old card and put in the Linksys card and ...(brace yourself)... Nothing! Now, I know nothing about compiling and very little about command line since I am new to programming and command line work in Linux.

What I need to know is:
1)Is there a way to make either of these cards work with either distribution of Linux?
2)Is there a step by step (for dummies, in other words) set of directions to tell me how to get either of these cards to work?

try this link http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=405990 It worked for me on Ubuntu 7.10 and it installed driver bcm43xx for my belkin f5d7001 card, give it a shot, i recommend rebooting your computer before you start and closing all unnecessary programs, also i ran the program 3 times before it worked properly, good luck with it.
