linux 8 server but windows couldn't connect to WWW through router
Hi everyone,
i'm try to build a server with linux 8.0. this is the way i connect my home computer.
----->phone line to the modem (SBC ADSL) -> linux 8.0 server (two network card: eth0 for outside network, eth1 for LAN connection, setup NAT server already) -> netgear router (ip:192.168.1.2, netmask 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.1.1, DNS:got it from ISP webside, LAN ip=192.168.1.3, mask=255.255.255.0, gateway=192.168.1.1, PLUS firewall set to none, set windows 1 ip= 192.168.1.100, windows 2 ip=192.168.1.101) -> two home computer(all windows xp professional, ip etc.set to automaticly get from ISP )<-------
problem: Linux's network is working fine so i can use internet. However, from windows, i couldn't connect to internet. i ping eth0 and 127.0.0.1 is fine, but when i ping my windows 1 machine (192.168.1.100) said it is unreachable.same as windows 2. i also try proxy setting and then try setup NAT server but it doesn't work. of course i couldn't connect to internet with windows 1 and 2.
PLEASE HELP!!

With a router you must use different networks.
You have Linux8 connected to router, network between them is 192.168.1.0
The computers connected to the router must reside in a different network.
Assign windows something like 192.168.2.x
