Question Linksys WRT54GX Router Issues SuSE 9.0

I am new to Linux and I am having some issues with getting to the internet. I am using a WRT54GX router, I can ping sites such as google but I can not get the page to load, I am getting a timeout on port 80. I have connected this computer to another network and I am able to connect to the internet on the Linux partition.

I have a dual boot system and I can connect via XP. I have no firewall active, and nothing restricted in iptables. I am using SuSE 9.0. I am really at a loss for why I cannot connect, any help is appreciated.

Can you ping google by DNS or by IP only?

Strange, because you connect to the websites port 80, not your computers' port. Have you tried more than web browser?

Maybe try a non-GUI web browser such as lynx to rule out X

I have tried both Firefox and the Konqueror borwsers, not familiar with lynx. Here is the exact error that I am getting:

An error occured while loading http: //www . google . com/:
Timeout on server.
Connection was to www .google. com at port 80

Exclude additional white space, had to do that as it wont let me post a URL.

I will try Lynx and see what happens.
