Linksys V2.7 PCI Card works/mandrake 9.1

This is just a post to help others (especially newbies) get this card working. The broadcom (notice the use of keywords for googlers :) ) bcm94301 works with Linuxant's Driverloader and Mandrake 9.1

All I had to do was:

install wireless-tools and pump off the mandrake cds with Mandrake control center

download the proper kernel version (in my case, a new install, kernel 2.4.21-0.13mdk -- the default 9.1 kernel), and change to the download directory

"su" to root

rpm -i dri [tab]

open browser to http://127.1:18020/ and follow the instructions there (you'll need the windows drivers, from the cd or downloaded from another computer)

iwconfig eth0 essid <your network name>

then run "pump"

And browse away. Well, you might want to add WEP and so on, but you can figure it out from here...or at least you can search google.

And, lest I possibly be able to forget, thanks to all of you who have answered other posts to get this card working and many, many thanks to the people at Linuxant as well.

Now all I need is for them to be able to make this available for free permantantly. Well, that or broadcom to take a laxative. :)
