Well, that's progress. You probably have connectivity now, but I think you have no name resolution.

Now what does it say when you ping Yahoo at 66.94.234.13?

It should say something like:

PING 66.94.234.13 (66.94.234.13) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 66.94.234.13: icmp_seq=1 ttl=53 time=79.3 ms
...

Don't forget to hit control+c to kill the ping, or do ping -c 5 66.94.234.13 to send 5 pings.
If you've rebooted you probably lost the default gateway and will need to do the "route add default gw ###.###.###.###" again.
I don't know how to set it permanently in RedHat.

Have you run netconfig yet? I think that's the RedHat utility that does all the network setup.

Good news im online, i reinstalled Redhat and let it configer all again and that sorted it, but still had eth0 card set as inactive and only become active when the cable is plugged into it, i think i`d played around in Netconfig for too long and messed it up.

Thanks all.
