ldap problem

i have a samba server (PDC) and ldap running together on a suse 9.1 pro. server.
the ldap server now has a strange problem, it is already running , but the port 389 is not open
this of course result in problems in log in to samba domain
i think it may be hacked, but i don't know how to solve the problem
